A car bomb explosion in northern Syria kills 15 farm workers

Fifteen, including 14 women, have been killed in an attack on a car bomb on a vehicle transporting farmers to northern Syria, the first responders say.

Another 15 women were injured by the explosion on the outskirts of the city of Manbius, east of Aleppo, according to Syria’s civil defense.

The agency, also known as the white helmets, said some of the wounded were in critical condition and warned that the death number could rise.

There was no immediate request from armed groups.

It was the second deadly attack on car bombs in the Manbius area in three days.

On Saturday, two children and a woman were among four people killed by an explosion on a street in the city center, the white helmets said.
