The US Post Office (USPS) says she has temporarily stopped accepting parcels from continental China and Hong Kong.

The letters will not be affected by the suspension, according to a statement from the company’s website.

It states that the suspension will be in place “until a further notification” and did not offer any explanation for the decision.

USPS did not immediately reply to a BBC News comment request.

This comes after Donald Trump imposed an additional 10% tariff for all goods imported into the United States from China.

Trump’s executive order also eliminates the release, allowing goods worth $ 800 (474 pounds) or less to enter the United States without having to pay liabilities or certain taxes.

The so -called de minimis tax door has been confronted with increased control in recent years as Chinese e -commerce giants such as Shein and Temu to reach millions of US customers.

US officials have pointed out that the large stream of parcels entering the country through this release made it difficult to find them more difficult to check for possible illegal goods.
