About 4,900 river turtles with yellow spots, also known as tracajás, were put into the Igapo-Achu River in Brazil.

The threatened species lives in the river pools in North South America, and the Amazonas Federal University has managed projects aimed at increasing the number of turtles from a decade.

At that time, over 70,000 turtles were released to live in nature.
