Israel’s Prime Minister warned Hamas that he would end the fire in the gas and resume intense battles if the Palestinian group “did not return our hostages until Saturday at noon”.
Benjamin Netanyahu said he had ordered the Israeli forces to accumulate inside and around the gas in response to Hamas’s message that he delayed to release more hostages to a further notification.
It was unclear whether Netanyahu required the release of all other hostages or only the three planned to be released this Saturday.
On Monday, Hamas said this would delay their release, as Israel violated the three-week deal to end the fire, including by blocking a vital humanitarian aid-ICC that Israel denied.
The group’s decision prompted US President Donald Trump to propose Israel to cancel the agreement and “let hell break” unless “all hostages” were returned until Saturday.
Hamas said in a statement earlier on Tuesday that the door was open to us, Qatari and Egyptian intermediaries to intervene and receive the fire termination transaction – which provides for the release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners – back to the way.
A senior Hamas official also rejected what he called Trump’s “Threat Language”.
Standing over the other hostages comes a week after Trump announced a controversial plan for the United States to take on the post -war gas and move the two million Palestinians living there permanently.
The Palestinian power Hamas and the Arab states categorically rejected the proposal, while the UN warned that any forced displacement would be “tantamount to ethnic cleansing”.
The first phase of the fire termination transaction should last six weeks and see a total of 33 Israeli hostages exchanged for about 1900 Palestinian prisoners and detained by Gaza.
So far, 16 living hostages have been released as the truce enters into force on January 19th. Hamas also handed over five Thai hostages beyond the deal of the deal.
The remaining 17 Israeli hostages – two children, one woman, five men over 50 and nine men under 50 – are supposed to be released in the next three weeks. Both sides said eight of these hostages are dead, but only one is baptized.
The deal also saw the forces withdrawal from the densely populated regions of Gaza, hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians return to their homes to the north, and hundreds of trucks for help were allowed on the territory every day.
The Israeli military launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 were taken hostage.
Since then, more than 48 210 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in Hamas.
The greater part of the gas population has also been replaced repeatedly, almost 70% of the buildings are evaluated by damaged or destroyed, health, water, sanitary conditions and hygiene systems have collapsed and there is a shortage of food, fuel, medicine and shelter.
