Israel’s announcement that an organ that returned from Gaza on Thursday is not that of Bibs Shiri, as Hamas said, throws another stumbling block into this transaction to end the fire.
It was believed that the remains of Shiri, the mother of two, were betrayed with those of her children.
But the Israeli military said forensic tests can only confirm the bodies of Ariel and KFI, who would be five and two years old, not those of their mother.
Instead, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said strike.
In a separate statement, the group stated that it had confirmed its “seriousness and complete commitment to all our obligations” according to the termination of the fire – and that “there is no interest in non -compliance”.
He also said he was underway to investigate the mixture and called on the remains of the alleged Palestinian woman to be misled to Israel.
The Bibs family were among 251 people taken hostage during the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023 against Israel, along with Shiri’s husband, Yard, who was released earlier this month.
Israel has launched a large -scale military campaign against Hamas in response, which died at least 48 297 Palestinians – mainly civilians – according to Hamas Health Ministry.
Ariel and Cfir, the most jerk of Israeli hostages, were four and nine months old when they were abducted. Their mother was 32 years old.
Netanyahu threatened that Hamas would pay the “full price” for not betraying the body to Shiri, calling him a “cruel and evil violation” to their agreement.
No measures have yet been announced outside Netanyahu, saying that Israel will act “with a determination to bring back widths.”
But Israel’s further statement that Ariel and Cfir were “killed by terrorists in cold blood” will further inflame the feelings in Israel.
In November 2023, Hamas claimed that boys and width were killed in an air strike by IDF. The BBC failed to check this independently.
On Friday, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari claims that forensic tests revealed that Hamas had killed Ariel and Cfir “with his bare hands.”
“Then they performed horrific actions to cover up these atrocities,” he said, without giving specific data on the alleged injuries. Hamas has not yet responded to these accusations.
For Israeli politicians inside and outside the government of Netanyahu, who require the resumption of the war in Gaza, these allegations will be seen as more evidence that Hamas should be fully eradicated.
The termination of the fire is entering a new period of uncertainty, with the first phase ending – while negotiations in the next stage are yet to start seriously.
The second phase – in which all other hostages, alive or dead – must be released – has been considered from the very beginning as potentially more challenging than the first.
Israel requires Hamas’s complete disarmament, while Hamas rejects Israel’s prospect of maintaining strict security control over gas.
Any big breakdown in the deal can see a return to the battle.
On the other hand, it is perhaps the bigger part of the public opinion in Israel – that nothing should interfere with all the other hostages who have been returned.
Expressing his condemnation of the most developed developments, Israel’s President Isaac Duke made it clear that Israel should remember what he called “his highest duty -to do his best to bring each of the abducted Sisters and Home brothers. “
The hostage and missing families forum sound this, saying that “every step” must be taken with “careful responsibility” to ensure the safe return of all hostages.
The fourth organ was returned to Israel from Gaza, on Thursday, this 84-year-old Mira Lifshitz activist. Just as Ariel and Cphir Bibas, the Israeli military said the remains of Oded were confirmed by forensic tests.
