You need to do a few things before you can actually play. Here are some tips to set up everything, because the quest interface is not always easy to navigate.
Set your boundariesThe The latest thing you want while playing is to spread in an object in your room when it is basically in the eyelids. Your search will guide you through the process of establishing your boundaries. If the roomscale stands stood up, it allows you to draw a play place to move freely. But if you remove the locations? Or want to play a game sitting instead of getting up?
To change your boundaries, press the Okulus button on your right controller (it’s just one at the bottom of the joystick). It pulls the menu underneath the screen (the menu is not already displayed you just have to do it). From there, if you wander over the clock, you can choose the setting panel quickly. Then choose the Guardian. If you pick up the stationary you only need to make sure and you are ready. If you choose the Rumkel it will guide you by drawing a new guardian boundary.
Your quest room can also support mapping, which uses exterior cameras to find the walls and objects in your place and remember them later. It is smooth and effortless to move into the rooms, as well as enables advanced XR features in some games. You can get information on this feature in the “Environment Setup” tab of your settings.
Buy gamesThe The Meta Quest Store The easiest way to buy games for your headset, but there are three ways to do this. You need to have a payment method on your file (credit card, debit card, or PayPal), why not choose which option. The browser method is the easiest way to enter these details.
Note: If the game is free then the blue button will say “drink” without listing any price. And if you buy the game via a browser or app you still need to download it in your headset. See the next step for instructions.
Download and access your gamesThe Once you buy a game you need to download it. If you have purchased it through your headset store, the download should start automatically. Once it is done, the button will “play” the button so you can jump directly.
If you buy the game via browser or app, go to the store in your headset and search the game. The store will list it as “purchased” but when you click on its data page the blue button will vary for saying “download” from the price to the price. Hit it and it will automatically show you the progress bar of the download.
If your headset is plugged in, or in a charging dock and standby mode, you can also use the Okulus app to start downloading on the device. I will use it to pick up a game on my phone and then I will be ready when I turn on the headset.
To access all your games – both bought and downloaded – the Okulus button hit the right controller and spread the menu bar below. From there, click the “App” button on the right (one with nine dots). This will show you all your purchases and you can only install or filter to see what is not. Click the icon of the game and it should be loaded directly.
Your screen is furtherThe Occasionally, you will see that your screen is not focused on the way you want. To check your phone or drink some water you turned off your headset, or probably you are in the game and want to change your orientation. To reset your view quickly, hold the meta button on the right controller for a few seconds. You will see a small dial displayed and once it is filled, the view you are currently looking for will reset the scene.
Check your battery lifeThe When fully charged, the quest battery usually lasts about two hours. If you are not sure how much juice your headset has left, press the right controller’s Okulus button to fetch the menu below. On the left, under the clock, a little battery icon that gives you a fair gauge of your charge. If you click on it it brings a quick setting screen. The right percentage on the top left, as well as each of you has the controller.
