The United States has twice gave up to Russia with votes in the UN to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, emphasizing the change in the position of the Trump administration in the war.

First, the two countries opposed a resolution made by the European, condemning Moscow’s actions and supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine, which was accepted by the UN General Assembly in New York.

At that time, they supported a resolution derived from the United States at the United Nations Security Council, calling for ending the conflict, but did not contain criticism of Russia.

The security of the Security Council was adopted, but two key allies in the United States, the United Kingdom and France, restrained on the vote, after their attempts to change the wording were veto.

Competitive resolutions were imported as French President Emmanuel Macron visited President Donald Trump in the White House In an attempt to deal with their sharp differences in war.

On Thursday, British Prime Minister Sir Kayer Starmer will also visit the new US leader.

Trump’s White House supported the Transatlantic Union by enjoying Moscow and questioning America’s long -term commitment to European security.

This gap was exposed to the 193-member Unga floor on Monday, when US diplomats pushed their limited resolution, mourning the loss of life during the “conflict of Russia-Ukrena” and called for a quick end of it.

European diplomats have presented a more detailed text, accusing Russia of its full-scale invasion and supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

“We have to confirm that aggression should be condemned and discredited, not rewarded,” said Ukrainian Foreign Deputy Minister Mariana Beta.

Unga members supported the European resolution with 93 votes, but, exclusively, the United States did not abstain, but in fact voted against it, along with Russia, Israel, North Korea, Sudan, Belarus, Hungary and 11 other states, with 65 abstentions.

The Unga also passed the US resolution, but only after it was amended to include Ukraine’s language, which led to the United States.

In the much powerful UN Security Council, which has 15 members, the unknown US resolution was adopted by 10 votes, with the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Greece and Slovenia abstained.

The current UN UN Messenger Dorothy Camille Shee has identified the US resolution as “just a historical statement … that looks forward, not backwards. A resolution focused on a simple idea: termination of war.”

Rarely have the United States contrary to its alleged European allies.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine three years ago, the Security Council has been closed by Russia’s authorities, one of its five permanent members to veto every resolution there.

For this reason, the Unga was the main forum for discussion of the war, but its resolutions are not legal binding to the Member States, unlike those of the Security Council.
