The Australian couple speaks of the “traumatic” moment when a dead passenger’s body is placed next to them when flights on Qatar Roomis.

Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin, who traveled to Venice for a dream vacation, told Australia Channel 9 that a woman had died in the path to them during the flight from Melbourne to Doha.

The couple says that the cabin crew was sitting their corpse, which was covered with blankets, next to the other four hours of flight and did not propose to move it, even though there were empty seats.

Qatar Airways said he had apologized for “any inconvenience or disaster that this incident may have caused”, adding that it is in the process of contact with passengers.

Mr Ring said the employees responded “in no time” when the woman collapsed, but that “unfortunately the lady cannot be saved, which is a pretty broken heart to watch,” he told Current Affair Program.

The cabin crew tried and failed to move its body to the business class, he explained.

“They tried to hang her to the business class, but she was a pretty big lady and they couldn’t cross her the path.

“They looked a little disappointed, then they just looked at me and saw places to offer me – my wife was on the other side. We were in a row of four.

“They said,” Can you pass, please? “And I just said,” Yes, it’s not a problem. “

“Then they put the lady on the chair I was in.”

G -ja Colin said she was shocked when her husband said they were asked to move up: “Will I said:” Will they put her there? “

While D -Ja Colin managed to move to an empty space nearby, G -N Ring said he was not given the opportunity to make it from the cabin crew -although he had vacant seats.

When the aircraft landed four hours later, he said the passengers were asked to remain placed while the medical staff and the police were on board.

“The ambulance staff began to pull the blankets from the lady,” said G -N Ring.

“I have to see her face.

“I can’t believe they told us to stay.”

The couple said they were not related to it, nor offer support from Qatar Airways or Qantas, the airline through which the flights have booked.

“They have an obligation to take care of their customers as well as their staff,” said G -N Ring.

“We have to contact to make sure you need support, do you need any counseling?

“I don’t really know how I feel and I would like to talk to someone to make sure I’m fine.”

G -ja Colin called the experience “traumatic” and said, “We fully understand that we cannot hold the airline responsible for the death of the poor lady, but there must be a protocol to take care of customers on board.”

In a statement of Qatar Airways, he said: “First of all, our thoughts are with the family of the passenger who, unfortunately, died aboard our flight.

“We apologize for the inconvenience or suffering that this incident may have caused and we are in the process of contact with passengers in accordance with our policies and procedures.”

Qantas spokesman said: “The process of processing incidents aboard an airplane like this is managed by the operating airline, which in this case is Qatar respiratory tract.”
