ReutersIn displaying deep public grief, thousands of Israelis, many with orange balloons and Israeli flags, lined the roads of southern Israel for the funeral procession of three hostages who were killed in Gaza – Bibs, and both red hair, Ariel and CFIP S
The Israeli television channels wore a live broadcast on the stage and – after a private funeral – public praise from relatives, with crowds that gathered to watch on large screens on Tel Aviv’s hostage square.
“This trio settled in my heart and I believe in all our hearts,” Neta’s wife told Channel 12. She said she came from the north to give her final respect to the Bibs family to the procession.
“I left this morning at 04:30. I saw that I could not sleep, so I went south. I wanted to come here to be as close as possible to the border communities of Gaza to be part of this goodbye.”
Kfir, nine months old from Kibbutz Nir Oz, was the youngest of the 251 hostages grabbed in the attacks led by Hamas, October 7, 2023. His brother Ariel was only four.
The images of the two boys became one of the most recognizable symbols of the struggle to return the hostages.
In Israel, there was a deep grief at the sight of Yarden Bibs, the husband of Shiri, freed by Hamas earlier this month without his immediate family.
Ghetto imagesOn Wednesday, Yarden Bibas paid tribute to Wire, who was 32 years old, as “the most amazing wife and mother,” saying she will always love her.
“I want to tell you everything that is happening in the world and here in Israel,” he continued. “Width, everyone knows us and love us. You have no idea how surreal this madness is.”
Wearing an orange kip or skull, he shared a touching memories of his children and talks about how he and his wife were happily surprised when they gave birth to their second red -headed boy.
The residence of the President of the Israeli President was illuminated in orange – the color that the family presented.
At the beginning of the procession, the Bibas family thanked Israel for showing the support and expressed the longing for days, “when we can reunite in moments of joy, not grief.”
Wrapped in an orange flag to observe the convoy of cars passing on the road to the cemetery, Schontal expressed sympathy for the victims.
“I wanted to approach and be close to them, to offer my condolences to Yarden and the family. I hope he will recover – not only from captivity, but also from grabbing and understanding this terrible tragedy,” she told Channel 12 S
ReutersA ghost video of Bibs Shiri was filmed during a Hamas attack in southern Israel more than 16 months ago.
She looks horrified as she presses against her children, surrounded by armed men before being taken from their home. Hours later, the footage of the observation camera showed them in Khan Eunice.
In November 2023, Hamas said Israeli air strike in Gaza killed her sons and her sons. However, this has never been checked by the Israeli military, who only expressed “serious concern” for them.
Recently last week, the Bibs family continued to endure the hope that the mother and her sons could be returned to Israel alive. They asked the public to “abstain from the perception of our loved ones” until the government after death was completed.
After that, last Friday, after the first transmission of the remains of dead hostage from Hamas from a deadly attack in 2023, under the deal to end the gas fire, the news appeared through the devastates many Israeli.
The Bibs boys were dead, their identities confirmed by DNA tests. The Israeli military spokesman said pathological exams and intelligence show that they were killed by their kidnappers “with their bare hands.”
In addition, the remains of Bibs are not found in the ark marked by its name, which was handed over to the International Red Cross Committee.
It is claimed that instead contains the remains of a Palestinian Gaza woman. Hamas suggested that there might be a mixture after the Israeli bombing.
Two days later, the Bibass family announced that the body of the width had been returned to Israel and that she was also killed in captivity.
The disruptive confusion on the bodies, along with the ceremony of careless surrender of the dead hostages organized by Hamas, were among what Israel said they were disorders of the ceasefire, which led him to postpone the agreed release of about 600 Palestinian prisoners last Saturday.
Hamas replied that this was a “serious violation” from Israel, which threw the process of ceasing fire into a new crisis.
Hours before the funeral, Israeli and Hamas officials said the crisis was authorized by intermediaries, with the bodies of the other four Israeli hostages now expected to be returned later on Wednesday or Thursday, at the same time when the Palestinian prisoners are released.
However, Fallout has caused fresh anxiety for relatives of about 60 remaining hostages, who remain uncertain whether their loved ones – or their bodies – will ever be returned by Gaza.
ReutersThe pledge of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to avenge the death of the Bibs family has only increased the concerns of his relatives.
The family criticizes Israeli media and Netanyahu that they ignored their desires not to release more details about the circumstances of the death of their loved ones.
In a Facebook publication on the eve of the funeral, Bibs Levy, the sister of Yarden Bibs, told the Prime Minister to “close” after repeatedly describing the killings. She said the publication of information was “a direct abuse of a family that has passed in 16 months hell and still has the worst ahead.”
Bibs’ funeral came a day after that Oded Lifshitz, who was also from Nir Oz and was 83 when he was abducted. His body was also returned last week. Netanyahu said he was killed in captivity by Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Bibs and her children were buried in a coffin to the last place to rest her parents, Jossi and Margit Silberman, who lived in the same Kibbutz and were killed there on October 7th.
A total of about 1,200 people were killed on Israel’s most dead day. He lit the deadliest war in Gaza, which killed more than 48,000 people, according to Hamas Health Ministry.
At the funeral, Bibs Levy called the Israeli officials seeking forgiveness for their inability to protect the width, Ariel and CFIR that day, so as not to comply.
“Forgiveness means accepting responsibility and commitment to act differently, to learn from mistakes. It doesn’t matter for forgiveness before the failures are investigated and all employees take responsibility.
“Our disaster as a nation and as a family should not happen and it should never be repeated again.”
