Buffy and gossip -girl actress died at 39 years old

Michelle Trachtenberg, who rose to fame as a children’s star in the 90s and 2000s, died at 39, told the New York police station to CBS News, the US partner of the BBC.

The American actress was most famous for playing the younger sister of Buffy’s killer, dawn, and later took on the role of manipulative socialist Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl -which took place from 2007 to 2012 -as an adult.

Her death is not treated as suspicious, police said.

Trachtenberg made her film debut at Harriet the Spy in 1996 and appeared in several Nickelodeon Productions.

BBC News addressed Trachenberg representatives for comment.

Police in Manhattan said they had responded to an emergency call on Wednesday morning and found Trachtenberg “unconscious and unconscious.” She was “pronounced in place.”

“Crime is not suspected. The medical examination will determine the cause of the death. The investigation is ongoing,” NYPD said.

Trachtenberg began operating three years in the Nickelodeon The Adventures of Pete & Pete television series.

In the early 2000s, she was nominated for several acting awards – including the Emmy Daily Award – for her role in Buffy’s “killer” of the vampire.

She has also starred in films, including Eurotrip, Ice Princess, Killing Kennedy and Nursing cities.

Trachtenberg first appeared at Gossip Girl in 2008. She returned to the role of two episodes from the second season of HBO Max’s restart in 2023.

Her latest major acting role was in 2021, as the host of a real crime was found, married, murders, which appeared on the digital stream of tubes.

In 2021, Trachtenberg accused Buffy’s creator of vampire killer Joss Weden in inappropriate behavior on the set after her co-star Charism Carpenter said she had been traumatized due to the treatment she received from Weden.
