Amazon Alexa+ can do your grocery shopping, too

Amazon is not making his Alexa a virtual shopping assistant. Wednesday, the company announced Alexa+, its rebuilding Alexa experiencesConsumers will be able to assist in grocery stores from home using more natural conversations and requests.

The feature will work with any other grocery partner working with Amazon Fresh or Amazon, the retailer mentions. Food distribution is also available from partners like Uber Ets.

Instead of just enrolling the ingredients you need by voice, Amazon showed how you can chat with Alexa because he helps you create your shopping list.

For example, the company asked Alexe to get “everything we needed for banana bread” except the spice and said they wanted to cook the “Bobs Red Mill Pancake mix”. Oh, and they needed syrup and a few more eggs.

Alexa understood this natural language requests and turned them into grocery list items.

Also, for example, when asked “to make two and a half gallons instead of milk”, Alexa was able to adjust the quantities on the flight.

The Assistant was able to recommend what to cook for a five -year -old dinner guest, with some of the pasta alternatives to choose children.

The company describes this type of shopping for shopping in a “consciousness stream” -style chat using your voice.

Upgraded Alexa+ Experience will ship as upgrades to existing Alexa devices in March. The service will be $ 19.99 per month but free for all major members.
