Nigerian legislators have stopped Senator for six months after she submitted a petition that is said to have been sexually harassed by the Senate President.
Natasha Akpoti-Udowagan has been charged with one of the best politicians in the country for the first time, Godswill Akpabio in an interview last Friday.
After rejecting her request for procedural reasons, the Ethics Committee recommended that the stopping of a crippled, stating that it had led to the upper house of the National Assembly.
Some senators claim that its suspension will be reduced to three months, but the majority votes to stick to six months of stopping recommended by the Ethics Committee.
Women’s Hadiza Adenta Rights Activist told the BBC that stopping Senator Woodwagan is “a sad day for Nigerian women.”
Subanga then defined his suspension as “injustice that will not be maintained.”
She vowed to continue her “pursuit of justice” for her treatment.
The accusations dominated the discussions in Nigeria, as she first made them nearly a week ago.
Very highly placed people and groups called for a transparent investigation.

“All we can say is that today is a sad day for Nigerian women who are fighting for emancipation. Of the 109 senators, only four are women and one has already been stopped, “she said.
Many women on social media have also expressed their anger from stopping, with some calling it “oppression”.
During her suspension, Udugan will be banned from the premises of the National Assembly and her office will be locked.
