“We were really glad to make some special memories with the girls. I know the Make-A-Wish will seem to reorganize. But it is still a little gutting.
“I cried, we all cried. We really look forward to it. The life of her (Daisy) is limited, we just never know how long we have left with her.
“We wanted to make some really good memories.”
Many Britons were stuck on the other side of the channel on Friday, with no easy way to return it to the UK.
But some, like Vicky and her mother Joe, decided to “make the most of him” and spend a few more days in Paris.
“We were beginning to worry a little that we could eventually go home,” Vicky said.
Vicky and her mother have only planned one night, but since then they have decided to book a train back on Sunday.
“We will make the most of this. We just approached the Eiffel Tower and walk around the city, take our time and enjoy Paris,” she said.
Many travelers have complained that they could not get on the Eurostar app, including Bob and Mavis from Nottingham, who hoped to travel to Paris from London St. Pankras International on Friday.
“It took us hours to deal with the Eurostar app because it continues to collapse,” Mavis said.
The couple, who finally managed to book a train to get them in Paris on Saturday, said they had to spend money on a hotel in London overnight.
