Ghetto imagesAt least 25 people were killed in Ukraine in the last wave of Russian strikes, Ukrainian officials say, as the conflict shows no signs of relief.
One attack on the Donetsk region died at least 11 people and wounds 40, including six children, local officials said on Saturday. Homes and infrastructure were affected in other regions, including Kharkiv and Odesa.
Russian attacks have intensified in recent days as the United States has stopped military assistance and sharing intelligence with Kiev. The collision of the oval office last week followed between President Donald Trump and Voladimir Zelenski in Ukraine.
After the last Russian strikes, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, “This happens when someone calms the barbarians.”

The most death strikes happened late on Friday in the town of Dobropila of the Donetsk region. At least 11 people were killed when two ballistic missiles hit eight residential buildings and a shopping mall, employees said.
After the emergency services arrived, Russia began another strike “deliberately targeting rescuers,” Zelenski said in a telegram post. “Such strikes show that Russia’s goals are unchanged,” he added.
Other attacks in the region were killed by nine people and injured 13 on Friday and Saturday, local officials said.
Drones struck a company in the Bochoduhiv area, Harciv region, killing three people and injured seven early on Saturday, regional leader Oleh Sinehubov said.
Another drone attack on Friday affected the civil and energy infrastructure in Odessa, the regional head said. “This is the seventh attack on the energy system in the region for three weeks,” said energy company DTEK.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to head to Russia, whose Ministry of Defense said its forces had captured 31 Ukrainian drones overnight.
