Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the billionaire of technology Elon Musk had a controversial exchange with Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorski, in a series of X publications on Sunday for the use of the Musk Starlink satellite system in Ukraine.

In response to a publication by Musk, mentioning the exclusion of the system, Sikorski suggested that any threats to exclude Starlink would lead to the search for other suppliers.

Rubio quickly rejected the allegations that Musk would close the system and called on Sikorski to be grateful.

The trio returned back -behind in an exchange of X publications, which ended with the fact that Musk called Sikor “little man”.

The Starlink system is part of the SpaceX mission to provide high -speed internet to remote and undervalued areas – such as war zones – around the world.

Sunday’s exchange began when Musk posts that Starlink is the “backbone of the Ukrainian army.”

“Their whole first line will collapse if I turn it off,” he writes.

Then Sikor responded to Musk’s post, saying that Poland was paying for the service.

“Starlinks for Ukraine is paid by the Polish Ministry of Digitization at the price of about $ 50 million a year,” Sikorski writes. “The ethics of the threat of the victim of aggression, if Spacex proves to be an unreliable supplier, we will be forced to look for other suppliers.”

Sikorski’s post made Rubio be heard by saying that Polish Foreign Minister “just invented things.”

“No one has made threats to cut Ukraine from Starlink,” Rubio writes.

“And say thanks, because without Starlink Ukraine would lose this war a long time and the Russians will be on the border with Poland right now,” he added.

Later, Musk responded to Sikorski’s post called “Little Man”.

“Be quiet, little person. You pay a small part of the price. And there is no substitute for Starlink,” Musk writes.

Starlink terminals are key to Ukraine’s army operations and have been used since the beginning of the Russian invasion in February 2022.

There are tens of thousands of terminals in the country, including up to 500 purchased by the US Department of Defense in June 2023.
