“Canada will never be part of America,” says the incoming prime minister

Mark Carney, the next Canada Prime Minister, has announced that his country will win the trade war that has broke out with the United States with President Donald Trump.

The former governor of the Bank of England turned to a crowd of liberal supporters after the result of the leadership competition was announced on Sunday night.

In his speech, Carney promised to maintain retaliatory rates “until Americans show us respect.”

While Donald Trump signed orders last week that significantly expand the goods released from his new tariffs to Canada, the White House said 62% of Canada imports can still face tariffs.
