Vladimir Putin responds to the proposal to end the US fire over Ukraine

Vladimir Putin said he agreed that the fighting in Ukraine should be completed, but added that any fire stop plan should lead to “lasting peace”.

In a press conference on Wednesday in Moscow, the Russian president thanked US President Donald Trump for his intervention in the conflict.

He said that while we were open to the US proposal, he raised a series of questions he said we should discuss with Washington.
