A British man killed by the convoy of President William Ruto in Kenya

A British man was killed in an incident with a hit and a run associated with a vehicle in the Kenyan President William Ruto’s fork.

The man, who was named 79-year-old Edgar Charles Frederick, died on Thursday after being struck in the incident of the main road in the capital Nairobi.

Police have detained a driver who has since been released on bail.

It is said that he was driving a vehicle that was traveling as part of the official convoy of President Ruto’s cars.

Police spokesman Michael Muchiri told the BBC that G -n Frederick had visited Kenya to see his sister and nephew, who are the residents of the country.

The next case of the victim is informed and will probably be held after his death later on Friday.

Police said the driver, who failed to stop after the incident, would appear in court after investigation.

A spokesman for the United Kingdom Supreme Commission said the employees were aware of the reports and were looking for more information.

Videos, posted on social media, show a man in blue jeans and a light colored shirt, lying bleeding on the road in front of a busy shopping area.

Other photos show the victim covered with a checked scarf known at a local level like Maasay Shika.

Muchiri told the BBC that the vehicle belongs to the regional administration and provides support for presidential details.

President Ruto held events near the stage on Thursday as part of the ongoing political commitments with the public in the capital.
