A team of charity workers was killed in Israeli strikes in North Gaza, and the BBC was registered in the United Kingdom of Al Hair Foundation.
The charity said that eight workers – including volunteers and journalists documenting their activities – were killed when their vehicles were directed on Saturday at what Hamas described as a “gross violation” of the fire termination agreement with Israel.
The Israeli military said they had hit “two terrorists who were identified, ruled a drone, which threatens Israeli troops,” adding that he was then aimed at “additional terrorists” who arrived on the spot.
The charity rejects the claim that members of his team are terrorists.
Kasim Rashid Ahmad, the founder and chairman of the charity, told the BBC that the team was in the area to create tents and document it for his own efforts to promote the charity.
He said his two operators returned to the car and were hit while other team members who rushed to the scene were hit by an Israeli drone, which followed them when they went to the second car of the charity.
Several others were injured and rushed to the Hospital in Indonesia in the North Gaza strip, Hamas Health Ministry said.
A spokesman for the group Kazar Kassel said Israel had “made a horrifying slaughter in the northern Gaza strip by targeting a group of journalists and humanitarian workers.”
Termination of fire between Israel and Hamas has existed since January, after 15 months of combat, but its future is uncertain as the process has reached impasse.
The first phase of the multi -stage Hamas deal returned dozens of hostages, both alive and dead, that it was captured during its attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, in exchange for about 1800 Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.
Talks to extend the first phase of fire termination – which ended on March 1 – ended without an agreement, Palestinian employee told the BBC on SaturdayS
The negotiators have worked on US-protected extension, which will include a further exchange of hostages and prisoners.
Washington has accused Hamas of making “completely impractical” demands. The group has requested immediate conversations in the second phase, including discussions about the permanent termination of fire as exposed to The agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the United States in JanuaryS
Hamas’s unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 took about 1,200 people and 251 others taken to Gaza as hostage.
Israel has responded with a large -scale military offensive on the Palestinian territory, which has died over 48,300 people, says Gaza Health Ministry.
