Texas man faces prison for activating ‘kill switch’ on former employer’s network

Texas software developer Devis Lu has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment after convicted “the cause of deliberate harm” on his ex -employer’s network.

The LU has been accused of creating and implementing a “Kill Switch” that LU certificates are disabled but will lock all employees of the company from the network. When Lu left the company at September 9, 2019, the Kill Switch was activated, resulting in obstructing the widespread system that affecting thousands of employees worldwide. The judiciary has said that the LU has “lost several thousand dollars.”

According to the court’s docket, it will be sentenced for June 25.
