Russia and Ukraine have launched air attacks that have damaged their mutual infrastructure, hours after Vladimir Putin said Russia would stop heading to Ukrainian energy sites.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said Russia’s goals include hospitals. He said the Russian leader had actually rejected a thorough termination of fire on his call on Tuesday with US President Donald Trump.

Putin told Trump that the complete cessation of fire would only work if the allies of Ukraine cease to provide military assistance – a condition that the European allies of Ukraine had previously rejected.

Officials in the southern Russian Krasnodar region said the Ukrainian drone attack caused a small fire at an oil depot.

Within hours when Putin agreed to stop attacks on energy infrastructure, Zelenski said “there are blows more special about civil infrastructure”, including a hospital in sums.

Zelenski said Russia had released over 40 drones against Ukraine in the hours after the call between Trump and Putin.

“It is these types of Russia’s night attacks that destroy our energy sector, our infrastructure and the normal life of Ukrainians,” Zelenski said.

“Today, Putin effectively rejected the proposal for a complete termination of fire.”

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense told the 57th Ukrainian drones, which he crossed and destroyed overnight, 35 were above the Kursk border region.

In Belgorod, a Russian region on the border with Ukraine, the governor said the situation “remains difficult”. Moscow said on Tuesday that the Ukrainian forces had tried to attack a ground attack on Belgorod, but were pushed back.

Putin rejected the fire in Ukraine immediately and completely, agreeing only to stop the attacks against energy infrastructure, after a long -awaited call with Trump.

The Russian leader refused to register in the overall monthly termination of the fire that the Trump team has recently worked with Ukrainians in Saudi Arabia.

US talks to Ukraine should continue on Sunday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the American envoy to the Middle East, Steve Vikof, said.

About 80% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was destroyed by Russian bombs, Zelenski said last September.

Kiev, for his part, conducted drones and rocket strikes deep in Russian territory, on oil and gas facilities.
