Andrew Tate refused to say if he would stay in Romania

British-American influential Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan appeared in a police station after returning to Romania from the United States.

The brothers registered with the authorities in the capital Bucharest, in legal formality, to demonstrate their observance of a continuing criminal investigation.

They are being investigated in Romania to form an organized criminal group, human trafficking, minor trafficking and money laundering. Andrew is also faced with allegations of rape and sex with a minor. The couple denies all the accusations.

After leaving the police department, Andrew, 38, refused to say whether he would remain in Romania, but swore to clear his name both there and in the UK.

The brothers returned to Romania on Friday nearly a month after the ban on travel by authorities were unexpectedly canceled.

Shortly afterwards, the couple announced that they were flying a private jet to Florida – where they quickly became the focus of a new investigation.

Florida General Prosecutor has launched a criminal investigation of the brothers, welcomed by the US National Center for Sexual Operation, which is one of the alleged Tate victims.

The way out of the Romania brothers has led to speculation that prosecutors are experiencing political pressure from President Donald Trump – whom they support. Trump denied any knowledge of their release and Tates rejected the allegations of external influence.

In response to a question about the US accusations today, Andrew denied them and said, “I am investigated everywhere on the planet because I am one of the most important people on the planet.”

He also said he had “witch hunting” against him.

The couple are also subjects of a separate investigation in the UK

The couple was arrested in Romania at the end of 2022 against the backdrop of accusations in misleading women and transporting them to Romania, where they were later exploited sexually and subject to physical abuse.

The couple are also subjects of a separate investigation in the UK about allegations of rape and trafficking of the people they deny.

The British authorities have provided an order for allegations of sexual aggression since 2012, which means that the brothers can face extradition after Romanian proceedings are over.

Last month, the Romanian authorities warned Tates that they needed to return to the court or risk a “higher measure of custody”.

Andrew, who has been banned from several social media platforms because of his misogynistic views and hate speech, later told his 10 million X followers that he spent $ 185,000 ($ 142,800) on a private jet to “sign a single sheet of paper.”

The BBC asked Andrew on Monday about his inflammatory tweets after Soutport’s attack in the UK last year, in which three girls on a summer festive dance and yoga were stabbed to death, and he fiercely claims that the attacker was an illegal immigrant. Tate called BBC correspondent “Ano” before being expelled.
