YouTube is changing how it calculates views on YouTube shorts to make the creators a more deeper understanding of how they are performing their short-form content, on Wednesday.

Shorts views will now calculate the number of a creator to play short or start playing re -playing.

In the past, a view was calculated after a short view for a certain number of seconds. As a result of this change, the view calculations will move further.

YouTube says it is changing because it was heard that manufacturers want to understand how many times their shorts are actually seen. The idea is that the creators can now display the entire magnitude of their reach better, notifying their content strategy and making their job more easier to present to potential brand partners.

With this update, YouTube shorts will now align its metrics Tick And Instagram reelsBoth tracks how many times your video starts or re -plays. YouTube notes that makers will now be able to better understand how their short-form videos are performing across multiple platforms.

Creator interested in the original shorts metric can navigate it in “Advanced Mode” in YouTube analysis. Metric, which is now known as the “appointed view”, will allow the creators to see how many visitors prefer to continue their shorts.

YouTube notes that this change will not affect the Creator’s earnings or how they will be eligible for the YouTube partner program, as both causes will continue based on the view appointed than the updated metric.

The change is effective on March 31.
