Yolanda Saldivar refused a conditional release 30 years after the Senlena Murder Sentence

The woman who killed the singer Selena Quintanila-Peresa was denied by early release from the Texas prison on Thursday.

Yolanda Saldivar was sentenced to life imprisonment for the 1995 murder of singer Tedjano, who became a music icon in the United States.

When Saldivar was convicted, she was given the possibility of probation after serving 30 years in prison. On Thursday, a three -member texas release council denied her request to be released early.

Saldivar, who founded Selena’s fan club, will be entitled to early conditional release in March 2030.

The jurors condemned Saldivar for first -degree murder in 1995. She was sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of conditional release after 30 years – which arrived this year.

Saldivar, said in a Council Communication, continues to pose a threat to public safety.

The nature of her crime showed “the conscious neglect of the life, safety or property of others.”

Saldivar was the founder and manager of the fan club of the singer of Tedjano and manages the Boutiques for Selena, Selena, etc.

On March 31, 1995, Saldivar killed 23-year-old Selena at a hotel in Kristi Corps, Texas.

The shooting came after Saldivar collided with Selena’s family for claiming to have seized the singer’s fan club and clothing line.

Saldivar is reported to have gone to the hotel after being fired by the singer’s family because of the allegations.

She went to Selena’s motile room to assume that she reports business records she needs to file taxes, according to the Associated Press.

When Selena was running out of the room, Saldivar shot the singer from behind.

Selena rose to glory and won Grammy in the early 1990s, when Tejano Music flourished.

She was called “The Queen of Tejano”, and her album, dreaming of you, heads diagrams after being released months after her death.
