Elon Musk distributes checks for $ 1 million before the Wisconsin Supreme Court election

Billionaire Elon Musk gave $ 1 million (£ 770,000) checks to Viiscan voters after the state’s Supreme Court refused to intervene.

Musk announced the award earlier this week before holding the closely contested Wisconsin Supreme Court elections on Tuesday.

The Prosecutor General of Wisconsin and Democrat Josh Cowul has brought the case to stop the distribution, arguing that Musk violated the state law, which prohibits gifts in exchange for votes.

The competition, which could turn control of the Supreme Court of the State to Republicans, has become a flash and the most expensive lawsuit in American history.

Speaking at a rally on Sunday night, Musk said “We just want the judges to be judges” before giving two checks for $ 1 million (£ 750,000) to voters who signed a petition to stop judges “activists”.

Kaul had tried to claim that the distribution was an illegal attempt to buy votes. In response, Musk’s lawyers claim that Caul “restricts G -n Musk’s political speech and restricts his first amendment rights.”

Musk’s attorneys added that payments were “intended to generate the movement of the main movement in opposition to activists’ judges, not explicitly to advocate for or against each candidate.”

After two more courts stood on Musk, Kaul asks the Supreme Court of the State for 11 o’clock. But the best court unanimously refused to hear the case.

Musk and President Donald Trump have approved a candidate for a Conservatory, Judge of Wokesha Brad Shimel County, hoping to transfer the liberal court.

Judge Shimel is running against a judge of Dane Susan Croford, who has been approved by the liberal judges of the Supreme Court of the State.

Tech Titan’s attorneys also claim that judges who have publicly approved Judge Crawford in the Race of the Supreme Court should be banned from managing the issue, claiming that it is a matter of bias.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court competition is regarded by political observers as a Referendum on Trump’s second term, just months after he took office.

It also ahead of follow -up cases that will land in court for abortion rights, congressional and vote redistribution rules that could influence the 2026 intermediate elections.

Musk himself described the election as a chance to stop the redistribution, which could give the Democrats a favor in Congress.

He has donated $ 14 million to the Judge of Shimel’s campaign, as the race is the most expensive judicial race in the country’s history, with a total of $ 81 million.

Despite his support, Judge Shimel seems to be distanced from Musk in recent days, telling the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Friday that there are no plans to be at the rally.

“I have no idea what he is doing. I have no idea what this rally is,” Judge Shimel told the newspaper.

This is not the first time Musk has announced the distribution to the voters. Last year, he similarly offered a 1MA voter day to Viiscan’s Voter Day and six other countries on the battlefield if they have signed a petition to support the rights of the first and second amendments.

Later, a Pennsylvania judge ruled that the distribution was legal, saying that prosecutors had failed to prove that it was an illegal lottery.
