Frozen trees click in an icy storm in Ontario

More than 350,000 Canadians were confronted with electricity cuts in South Ontario when an ice storm was moving across the region over the weekend.

The footage shows trees, parks and ice -coated homes, a city that declared a state of emergency on Sunday because of the storm.

City authorities described the situation as “very serious”.
