BBC joins rescuers looking for a dead earthquake in Myanmar

The ruling military junta in Myanmar claims that the death rate after the devastating earthquake last week is almost 2900 people.

The actual number of deaths is afraid to be much higher, with many people still left under the ruins in the affected cities.

The ruling military junta declares that it will not release foreign journalists in the country after the earthquake has made it difficult to report from the country.

Yogita Limai on the BBC became the first foreign journalist to enter the country as the disaster hit and travels to the city of Mandalay.
