The death of the British couple in France treated as a murder-pursuit

French officials investigating the death of a British couple at their home in southwestern France said it was a murder followed by suicide.

The bodies of Andrew and Dawn Sealer, who had previously lived in East Lotian in Scotland, have been found on February 6th At their home in Les Pequies, about an hour north of Toulouse.

Mrs. Sealer’s body was found in the garden with severe wounds in the head while her husband’s body was found to hang inside.

The prosecutor responsible for the case told the BBC that there was no evidence that another person had participated in their death.

D -Ja Sirle, 56 years old, grew up in Emouth in Scottish borders, and G -n -Searle is a native of England.

Previously, they lived in Musselburg and married in France in 2023.

Prosecutors said they had lived in the Averon area for five years.

According to his page in LinkedIn, the 62 -year -old Searle has worked earlier in the prevention of financial crimes in companies, including Standard Life and Barclays Bank.

Police were alerted to the incident in February by a neighbor’s neighbor who had gone to check them when they failed to show up for a planned dog walk.

The area around the property was sealed while investigations were being conducted and local police called in expert assistance from Toulouse.

A helicopter and a drone were sent to the site.

After the death exams, they confirmed that Mr. Seylerle died of hanging, and Mrs. Sealer, suffered “multiple blows to the head with a blunt and sharp edges.”

The son of Dawn Sealer, the actor of Hollyoaks Callum Kerr, issued a statement on social media at the time of death

He said, “At that time, Kalum Kerr and Amanda Kerr were grieving for the loss of his mother, Dawn Sealer (Nee Smith, Kerr), while Tom Searle and Ella Searle mourned the loss of his father, Andrew Sealer.”

He requested the privacy of the family to be observed during this “difficult period”.
