The United Kingdom will host the Women’s World Championships in 2035 as the only “valid” participant in the tournament, says FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland presented a joint expression of interest in March to hold the World Cup through the Internal Nations.

According to the rules for the rotation of the FIFA, the tournament should be in Europe or Africa.

Spain Federation President Rafael Luzan said last week that they were “working on a joint offer with Portugal and Morocco.

However, the deadline for expressing interest on Monday, and Infantino says the United Kingdom offer is the only one received for 2035, while the United States is ready to host the 2031 edition.

“Today, I can confirm as part of the bidding process that we received an offer for 2031 and a valid offer for 2035,” said Infantino at UEFA Congress in Belgrade.

“The offer for 2031 is the United States of America and potentially some other members of CONCACAF, and the offer for 2035 is from Europe and the internal nations.

“So the road is there for the Women’s World Cup in 2031 and 2035 to take place in some great nations and further enhance the female football movement.”
