Donald Trump will “make American showers again”, relieving the rules, limiting the flow of water, says the White House.
The US President commands the energy secretary to cancel a change introduced by Barack Obama, who restricted the showers of numerous muzzles from throwing over 2.5 gallons of water per minute.
This served “a radical green program that worsened life for Americans,” said the White House, as Trump criticizes the “ridiculous” time that it says it is necessary to get his hair in the shower.
Consumers and conservation groups claim that the change of rules is wasteful and unnecessary.
According to the Awareness Awareness Project, which shared the information sheet in 2024, the US efficiency standards set more than three decades “reducing water waste … save money on consumers of their water and energy bills and help protect the environment.”
According to the 1992 energy law, US showers are not allowed to produce more than 2.5 gallons (9.5L) water per minute.
Obama introduced redefination as part of an energy protection program, which meant to shows with multiple nozzles, the restriction applied as a whole, not to every nozzle.
At the end of Trump’s first term in 2020, he moved to allow each nozzle to produce up to 2.5 gallons per minute.
But when Joe Biden inherited him as a president, he stopped it.
The current administration called its efforts “War for Water Pressure”, saying that Americans “pay for their own water and must be free to choose their showers without federal messages.”
Now Trump wants to return to the “direct importance” of the “shower -head” of the 1992 law.
According to the White House information sheet: “The order releases Americans from excessive provisions that have made a major household subject into a bureaucratic nightmare.
“They will no longer be weak and useless showers.”
The order states that the change will take effect 30 days after the energy secretary publishes a notice, asserting the definition.
As he signed the order in the Oval Cabinet on Wednesday, Trump said he was “ridiculous”, he should stand under the water for 15 minutes so that his “beautiful” hair can get wet – echoing remarks he made in 2020.
At that time, He also complained that the water did not come out of shower, Saying his hair “should be perfect”.
