The US Senator met with a person who Trump’s administration officials have admitted to being deported by mistake by Maryland at a mega-prisoner in El Salvador.
Maryland Senator Chris Van Holen has published photos of his meeting with Kilmar Abgo Garcia, whom the administration refused to return to the United States, despite the federal judge’s order.
After the meeting, El Salvador President Naib Boukele also refused to release the abrego Garcia and said he would remain in custody of the country.
The White House accused Mr. Abrego Garcia of being a member of the transnational band Salvadoran MS-13, a certain foreign terrorist organization, and said it would not return to the United States.
