Nine Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike at a police station in North Gaza, health officials and first responders say.
Several other people were also injured when rockets hit the market area of Jabalia. Video footage showed crowds gathered around the remains of a flattened building.
The Israeli military said he had hit the Command and Control Center for Hamas and his ally Palestinian Islamic jihad in Jabalia, which is used to plan attacks.
It is reported that at least 17 other people were killed elsewhere in Gaza on Thursday.
These include a family of six – a couple and their four children – whose home in the North Sheikh Radvan in Gaza was bombed, according to the Hamas Civil Protection Agency.
A relative, Nidal al-Sarafiti, said the family was asleep during the strike.
The popular Palestine Liberation Front (PFLP) identifies the person who was killed as Ali Al Sarafiti, who, according to her, is a member of the armed group and a former prisoner who has been imprisoned for 13 years in Israel after being convicted of suicide attempt.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.
The Palestinian media also said that three displaced people were killed when their family tent was struck near Nusherat, in central gas and that two children were killed at another tent in the area of South Khan Eunice.
The Hamas Health Ministry in Gaza says at least 1978 people were killed as Israel resumed its offensive against Hamas on March 18 after the collapse of a two-month end of fire.
Israel says he puts military pressure on Hamas to release the 59 hostages he still holds, 24 of which are thought to be alive.
He also blocked all supplies of humanitarian aid and other supplies to Gaza for seven weeks, which the UN says “further deprives people of the means of survival and undermining every aspect of civil life.”
The Israeli military launched a campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and 251 others were taken hostage.
Since then, more than 51,300 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the health ministry in the territory.
