“I’m alive but three in my group failed”

Tourists who were in an administered Indian cashmere when a deadly shooting against tourists returned on Tuesday, now return to their homes.

Describing the moment of the outbreak of violence, one man said the shooting was mistaken for “hunting the tigers”. He survived, but said three others in his group did not.

The attack was observed by a group of artillery -open fire near Pahalgha, a resort in the disputed Himalayan region, leading to the death of 26 people.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India will punish “any terrorist and their supporters” for the attack.
