Images of the tomb of Pope Francis have been issued in the Church of Santa Maria Magire in Rome.

A white rose was depicted lying on the stone tomb, which bears the name known during its pontilation, under a crucifix, illuminated by a spotlight.

The late Pope was laid to rest in the church – one of the four major basilicas in the Italian capital, and one who would regularly visit during his time as a cardinal and Pontiff – at a private ceremony after his public funeral in the Vatican on Saturday.
