“Some persons who considered it responsible were called for questioning,” he added.
The customs authorities said the import of cargo had ignited and exploded. The Ministry of Defense denied foreign reports that it was a shipment of a rocket fuel chemical.
The Director of Crisis Management for Hormosgan Province, Mehordad Hasanzade, also said on Monday that fire efforts at the port are “almost in its last stages.”

The Iranian Ministry of Defense has denied that the explosion is caused by improper handling of sodium perchlori, a solid fuel used for ballistic missiles.
Brig-spokesman Gen Reza Talay-Nic said on Sunday that “there was and no import or export of fuel or military supply near the incident” and accused foreign media of distributing “fake news”.
Ambrey Intelligence, a private risk consultation at sea risk, told the Associated Press that the port had received a shipment of sodium perhlor last month and that the explosion was “according to reports is the result of improper handling.”
The New York Times also cites an unnamed person with ties to Iran’s revolutionary security, saying that sodium perhlrate has exploded.
