Several reported dead after suspected shooting in Sweden

Several people have been killed after shooting a hairdresser in Uppsala, Swedish media reported.

Police said they had received calls from public members who reported that they had heard strong bangs that sound like firing near Waxala Square in the city center.

The shooting happened on the eve of the Walpurgus Spring Festival, which brings large crowds down the streets.

Several people have been found with injuries suggesting firearms, police said.

Employees have been enclosed by a large area and is under investigation.

Police spokesman Magnus Janson Clarin was quoted by local media, saying they had received several bangs in the area.

The Swedish public operator SVT said he was talking to a number of witnesses to the scene that told them they were hearing shots.
