EPAMohammed Wahid quickly fell asleep at his home in Pakistan, administered in Kashmir in the early hours of Wednesday morning when a huge blast shook his home.
“Before we could even process what is happening, more rockets have erupted, causing panic and chaos wide,” he told the BBC, adding that he had jumped out of bed and was running out with his family and neighbors.
“The kids were crying, the women were running around, trying to find safety.”
G -H Waheed lives in Musafarabad, the capital of Pakistan Kashmir administered by Pakistan -this is one of the least three places that were hit by Indian missile strikes on Wednesday.
Indian military said it had committed strikes in response to a belligerent attack on India, Kashmir, killed 26 civilians. He accused the belligerent groups based in Pakistan for attacks, accusing Islamabad in silently supporting them – Pakistan accusation consistently denies.
The BBC talk to witnesses in both India and Pakistan, administers Kashmir, who described the blows from India, as well as after the firing from Pakistan.
Pakistan said eight civilians were killed and 35 others were injured as a result of strikes this morning, according to Islamabad.
India’s army also said that at least seven civilians had been killed by Pakistani fire on its side of the Loc line (LOC), the actual border between the two countries.
Ruby Kaur, who lived in the India Poonech area along LOC, has been identified as one of the Indians who were killed.
Her uncle, Bouva Singh, told the BBC that a mortar shell had hit near G -Kaur’s house around 1:45 in the morning, killing her on the spot and hurting her daughter.
“Her husband did not behave well. She woke up to make tea for him when a mortar shell landed near her house,” he said.
He added that heavy firing on Wednesday morning is something “We’ve never seen before.” Singh says there were no bunkers in the community in the area, which meant that residents were forced to shelter in their homes.
“The shrapnel struck her head. She was bleeding hard. We put her in a nearby hospital, but she was declared dead,” said G -N Singh.
Another Poonch resident said they had heard “strong explosions for hours on Wednesday night.”
“It was a panic situation throughout the city and other areas close to the Loc line (LOC),” said Dr. Frowud I could at the phone.
“People couldn’t sleep all night. People abandoned their homes and ran to more fucking places. The shell struck the capital near the forest office and damage the nearby structure.”

His colleague Muzafarabad Shahnevaz sounds this, saying that he and his family “desperately seek safe places.”
“We provided for something and now we are covered by fear of more escalations.”
Delhi stressed that his actions on Wednesday are “focused, measured and non -escalating by nature”, but locals in the target areas in Pakistan, administered by Kashmir, say that mosques and residential complexes are among the affected sites.
G -n Wahid told the BBC that he could not understand why his local mosque had been struck in the strike, which he claims to be injured by “dozens of men and women” in his neighborhood in Musafarabad.
“It’s hard to understand,” he says. “It was a normal street mosque where we prayed five times a day. We have never seen any suspicious activity around it.”
Delhi emphasized his actions on Wednesday, aimed at terrorist infrastructure and said they were chosen “based on reliable contribution to intelligence.”
But the locals in the target areas in Pakistan administered by Pakistan say their mosques and residential complexes were among the affected sites.
