Vladimir Putin leads to the memory of Russia’s Victory Day with a parade on Red Square and increased security after days of Ukrainian strikes aimed at the capital.

Chinese President Gingping is among more than 20 international leaders who have made the trip to Moscow.

A unilateral three-day termination of fire was announced by Russia to coincide with the lavish 80-year event, which Ukraine rejected as a “theater show” designed to defend the parade.

The military said they had fallen under thousands of attacks since the fire was stopped on May 8. Russia insisted that the termination of fire is observed and blamed Ukraine in hundreds of violations.

In the days before the proposed truce, Moscow and Kyiv exchanged a barrage of strikes.

Airport flights through Russia were canceled and about 60,000 passengers left stuck As a result of the Ukrainian drone attacks.

There are severe restrictions in the center of Moscow, while Russia is preparing to mark the victory of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany.

Russia says 27 world leaders attend the event, with thousands of troops marching on Red Square before a parade of some of Russia’s smallest weapons.

Brazilian Luis Inasio Lula da Silva and Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro are among the gathered guests, along with Serbian President Alexandar Vucic and Robert Fico, Prime Minister of Slovakia, who is the only leader of the European Union to travel to Moscow.

For Putin, the Chinese XI attendance on Victory Day is seen as a significant achievement. The two men held two rounds of negotiations before the parade, as well as an informal chat for the war in Ukraine, the Chinese reports said.

Ukraine Zelenski’s volaimir warned earlier that he could not guarantee the safety of someone who attended the event and called on state leaders not to travel to Moscow.

Mihail Samus, a Ukrainian military analyst and director of New Geopolitics Research Network, told the BBC that he believes that Ukraine would abandon the attack of the parade, largely because of the presence of foreign leaders.

But if Ukraine decides to do so, it would be a legitimate military goal, Samus said.

During her Thursday night, Zelenski said that Ukraine was “ready for a full end of fire starting at the moment”.

“But it has to be real,” he said in a video of X. “No rocket or drones strokes, there are no hundreds of attacks on the front.”

He urged Russia to support the cessation of fire and “prove his desire to end the war.”

Ukraine has accused Russia of breaking its own truce thousands of times since it was supposed to come into force on Wednesday night.

On the second day of the armistice, Ukraine said there were nearly 200 clashes on the front line, eighteen Russian air strikes and almost four thousand cases of firing from Russian troops.

In Primorsk, a village in the area of attachment, it is reported that a woman was killed after a Russian drone hit her car.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that all groups of Russian forces in Ukraine “have completely terminated the combat operations and remain on the earlier lines and positions.” However, they responded in a “mirror” way to violations of the Ukrainian forces.

Zelenski repeatedly rejected Putin’s proposal as a “game” and called for a longer truce of at least 30 days, something supported by the allies of Ukraine in Europe and the United States.

He said he was talking to US President Donald Trump to repeat his readiness for “long and lasting peace” and conversations “in every format.” He said he had told Trump that the 30-day end of fire was a “real indicator” for moving to peace.

Writing about the Truth Social on Thursday, the US President repeated the call for unconditional cessation of fire and warned of more sanctions for any party that failed to register with it.
