General Motors is leaning toward Sterling Anderson, a veteran of the autonomous vehicle industry, to oversee its entire product line in a newly built job, which will touch almost every section of the US automaker. Global Product and Chief Product Officer will cover the entire life cycle of the new VP GM portfolio of the position and will include hardware, software, services and user experience.
Anderson, who will report to GM President Mark Rus, will begin in a new position on June 2. He is located at the Mountain View Tech Center of the California Company.
Anderson was headlined after he announced last week To resign from Aurora, He co-operated with two other pioneers in the AV sector. His resignation from the Aurora Board, came a week after the company launched Commercial self-driving truck service In Texas.
