At least 48 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli air strikes in North Gaza overnight, says a local hospital.
The Indonesian hospital said 22 children and 15 women were among the dead after a number of homes were struck in the city of Jabalia and a refugee camp. A video shared online appeared to show at least a dozen bodies on the floor there.
Israeli military said it was considering reports. He warned the residents of Jabalia and the neighboring areas to evacuate on Tuesday night after a Palestinian armed group released missiles in Israel.
He came when the UN Humanitarian Humanities Chief called on the UN Security Council members to take action to “prevent genocide” in Gaza.
As a meeting in New York on Tuesday, Tom Fletcher accused Israel of “deliberately and shamelessly imposing inhuman conditions on civilians.”
He urged Israel to raise his 10-week blockade of Gaza and criticize Israel’s plan to take over the distribution of humanitarian aid on the territory.

On Tuesday, a large -scale Israeli air strike on the Union of the European Hospital in South Gaza killed at least 28 people, according to local officials.
Israeli media reports said the goal was Mohammed Sinuar, who was thought to have become a Hamas leader in Gaza after his brother Yaha was killed by Israeli forces last October.
The Israeli military described it as a “precise blow to Hamas terrorists who operated in a command and control center” under the hospital.
