The President of Colombian University was whistled with chants “free hangover”

The President of the University of Colombia Claire Shipman was stunned during a graduation ceremony on Tuesday, with a chanting of Free Mahmoud heard them drown.

Mahmoud Halil, a graduate of the University of Colombia, was detained by US immigration officials in March for his role in the propalist protests on the campus. He is a permanent legal American resident and is not charged with a crime.

Halil remains in detention in the United States, while the official seeks to deport him.
