A year of work, the United Kingdom Prime Minister Keyer Starmer scored some key victories, including recently signing major trade deals with the US, India and the European Union, which will strengthen the British economy and salaries.

Public opinion polls draw a different picture of his success.

A pollster Yougov survey published in mid-May showed that the approval of the British public, which the Prime Minister dropped to a record low 69% of voters now have an unfavorable view of StarmerWhile only 23% consider it enthusiastic.

More worrying for the Labor Party leader, the fall of popularity is concentrated among the labor voters, half of which (50%) now have an unfavorable opinion about Starmer increases 17 points from the last poll in mid-April. The share of labor voters with a favorable opinion about him, in the meantime, has fallen from 62% to 45% compared to the month.

With things that seem to be in the right direction for the British economy, what is confused for its Prime Minister?

Commercial transactions against the background of internal pressure

The British business is now facing a higher tax burden as a result of government policies introduced in the Autumn Budget, as well as other measures considered many economists to be “anti-grown”. These include restrictions on immigration to affect foreign workers-which are key to a number of sectors-raising the national minimum wage and reforms of workers’ rights who put pressure on very small and medium-sized companies.

As such, exalted commercial transactions, promising economic growth and investment that will take time to feed, are cold comfort for many British users and businesses currently fighting.

“With regard to domestic policy, this government has not put it well so far; let’s give it a C-minus,” Kalum Piking, Chief Economist of the United Kingdom in Peel Hunt, told the Europe Enfact “Europe Range Edition” on Wednesday. “(We have seen) mostly measures to combat growth, and this is something that has violated the bond markets in the last few months.”

In terms of foreign and international policy, the government is “doing a good job”, with its most trade, a testimony to do so, Piking said.

Britain, which does a

“Starmer contained the risk of reducing the risk that the UK and the US can really escalate in trade. This is not a good deal, but it contains the risk of reduction,” he asked.

Big business leaders say they are pleased with the common direction of the British Government’s journey, such as CS Venkatakrishnan, CEO of the Barclays group, telling CNBC on Thursday that it is “absolutely on the way.”

“If you look, if you look at what they have achieved in the last few weeks, they have had commercial deals with the United States, with India, with Europe, important trading partners. They continue to repair relations with Europe they need,” he told CNBC Steve Sedgwick.

The inflation pressure, he noted, were obvious, but they still did not lead to “consumer disasters”, Barclays Exec believed.

“We actually see the wires continue the power of consumers, but this comes because of the people who manage their balance sheets and their finances, wisely. So (they) and the economy. The labor market is still strong. But as you can see … people are worried about inflation. People are worried about costs, whether it’s more.

Personality

Although some neighborhoods welcome Kyar Starmer’s more and less bombastic approach to leadership than politicians such as the UK reform leader Nigel Farage or former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, he continues to criticize his leadership and personality style.

CNBC contacted the Labor Party for comment on Starmer’s poll ratings and expects an answer.

“Starmer has big positives – (sign) trade deals” for one, Bill Blaine, a strategist and founder of the Wind Shift Capital Capital, said the lack of charisma of the Prime Minister was a deficit.

“But he is boring, boring and precise. He is competent, but he is not a personality and lacks political charisma … Farage has it in the peak. That’s how Boris Johnson did,” he told CNBC Tuesday.

“An additional problem is that Starmer is missing from cabinet colleagues who can create the illusion of a cabinet of smart leaders. Some settle in their roles, but most look at their depth. This is especially true of Rachel Reeves … which is naturally not risky,” Bline added.

“The bigger problem is the story – labor presents it as the right things to control costs, but it is relieved as insensitivity to their constituents. They are perceived as cruel,” he said.

Starmer is coming “under pressure,” Blaine noted, increasing the risk that the work ranking “MPs” would rebel if the urns bite. “

“This can happen – (which means) rebellion,” he said.
