Suspected of the student’s murder in South Africa killed in a police skirmish

A suspect, requested to kill a South Africa student, was killed in a shootout with police.

Olrat Mongal’s body was found on Sunday in Lombardy, north of Johannesburg, about two hours after she was reported to have disappeared that she had gone to a meeting.

In the early hours of Friday morning, police discovered the main suspect hiding in a residential complex in the coastal city of Amanzimtotti, police spokesman Athlenda Mate said.

The suspect, who was not named by police, shot at officers who returned the fire and killed him, Brigaden Mate added.

The death of d -Ja Mongale caused a fierce debate about the levels of violence faced by women in South Africa.

The search for two other men related to her murder continues as police arrested the parents of the deceased suspect.

The suspect’s mother has been accused of allowing him to “avoid arrest” by rejecting him for the presence of police in her house.

Police claim that the suspect’s father owns the VW Polo, who is said to have been used in the murder of Mongale.
