Shakira canceled her upcoming concert in Washington after “Complications” on the stage in her previous show in Boston, an event that was also canceled.
The Colombian pop star had to go out on Saturday as part of WorldPride, one of the largest LGBTQ+ festivals in the world.
In a statement published by the baseball stadium where the implementation was to be held, Nationals Park said “complications with the previous show in Boston” means “Shakira’s full tour could not be transported to Washington, DC” on time.
Wherever Singer says she’s “devastated” that the shows “were just not possible this time.”
“Due to the unforeseen and ill -fated circumstances that affected me and other artists in Boston, my full tour production cannot be moved to Washington, Colombia County, on time for my planned performance on Saturday,” Shakira said, 48.
“I count the days excited to reunite with my fans in Washington and Boston,” she added.
“I promise I will do my best to be with you as long as I can.”
Nationals Park said “despite all efforts”, it is not possible for the concert to be held as planned. The place promised automatic ticket restorations.
The previous presentation of Boston’s Fenuei Park Stadium was canceled shortly before Shakira took the stage on May 29, and the performances of country singers Jason Aldein and Brooks and Dun were also canceled.
According to CBS News, the US partner of the BBC partner, Boston’s concerts have been canceled because of a safety problem with the scene.
Live Nation’s entertainment company said “structural elements have been identified as not standard” and problems were found during a routine check before the show.
In response to the cancellation of the Washington show on social media, several fans said they had traveled to the city specifically to capture the performance.
“I went from LA for that. I am experiencing a second cancellation of this tour,” one user wrote, adding: “More disappointing.”
In the meantime, several users have expressed their support for the singer. “She doesn’t deserve this terrible situation,” one writes.
Currently, Shakira is presenting himself at stadiums in North America as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour, in support of her 12th studio album.
She is to be introduced in Atlanta on Monday, June 2.
