Reddit now lets you hide content, like posts and comments, from your user profile

Reddit on Tuesday Declaration A new feature that offers more privacy of its users when it comes to what shares their users’ profiles.

The agency says it is rolling up an update that will introduce a “content and activity” setting that lets users decide which contents will appear on their profiles from the subreddits they participate in. These include both their posting and commenting history.

The update adds a layer of privacy to Reddit that was not available before.

Previously, many Reddit users created “throw” accounts when they wanted to ask more personal questions. However as Reddit becomes one more Ad-focused tech company Post-OHAIt is likely that the user’s data – such as buggy and interest – is associated with a single user profile to target better ads.

The addition of the feature can encourage users to participate more on the site, as they now find out that they can obscure some of their activities from public views.
