X tests highlighting posts that are liked by users with opposing views

X Declaration Thursday that it is launching a test that will identify the posts that are preferred by people who are not usually agreed. The test earns the Crowdsorsed Community Notes feature of the platform, which is currently used when the content is identified as confusing or incorrect.

From Thursday, the contributors of the community note will see the callouts to respond to the specified post of a subset. The callout will appear on the basis of the initial activity of the post.

X says that this response will help develop an open source algorithm that can detect posts liked by people with different perspective.

Contributors will be asked to share what they like and dislike about posts. When giving feedback they will be able to select options like “I have learned something interesting” or “I don’t agree with it”.

X writes in a post, “People often think that the earth is divided, yet community notes show that people may also agree on controversial issues,” X wrote in a post. “This experimental new feature wants to uncover the ideas, insights and views that brings out the outlook. It can bring awareness to it broadly resonate. It can inspire people to share these ideas first. In the end, it can help the world move forward the way they want.”
