Amazon launches new R&D group focused on agentic AI and robotics

Tech giant Amazon plans to launch a new group within its consumer product category that will focus on the agent AI.

Amazon announced this new research and development group at an event on Wednesday, according to Reporting from CNBCThe This group will be out of Lab 126, Amazon’s hardware R&D section that is behind the technology, including Amazon Echo and Kindle.

This agent AI group is probably the reason for being based on a hardware R&D center is that Amazon hopes that this group will create an agent AI structure to use the company’s robotics and give the company warehouse robots further efficiency.
