Apple brings back tabs to the Photos app in iOS 26

After several complaints about Reduction Photo App on iOS 18, Apple is tweeting the appearance and feeling of the app in its new OS release, Now branded as iOS 26.

Also in iOS 26 updates, the photo app is able to convert your 2D photos to 3D special photos. This feature can be found on the iPhone updated lock screen and inspired by Apple’s Vision Pro Special Computing Headset.

Related to photos, the iPhone and iPad’s camera app was updated to make it easier to find many features. The app now shows the two capture mode you use on the original screen: Photos and Videos. To reveal additional modes, you can swipe your finger to the left or right. Here, you can switch to portrait mode, cinematic mode and others like others. To access other settings – such as flash, timer, aperture and more – you will now swipe from the bottom of the screen.

You can also change the formats with a tap, which is helpful to switch between HD and 4K resolution or adjust the frame rate in the video.
