NVIDIA CEO says quantum calculations reach a “flexion point”

Nvidia Executive Director Jensen Huang is becoming more and more about quantum calculations-and he expects that they will start solving problems in the real world in the coming years.

“Quantum Computing reaches a folding point,” Jensen said during his main speech at the NVIDIA GTC Paris Developer Conference conference on Wednesday.

Quantum computers are machines that use the laws of quantum mechanics to solve too complex problems for classic computers that store information in bits (such and zeros).

Quantum computers use quantum bits or “cubes” that can be zero, one or something between them – the goal is to process much larger volumes of data to facilitate breakthroughs in areas such as medicine, science and finance.
