Who were the victims of the Air India plane crash?

Almost all who are aboard Air India flight, linked to London Gatwick Airport, which crashed shortly after departing in West India, has died, the airline confirmed.

There were 242 passengers and crew on the plane, including 169 Indian citizens, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese citizens and one Canadian.

Early employees said some locals would also die, given Ahmedabad’s populated area, where the plane came down.

Adam and Hasina Taju and their son -in -law Altafhusen Patel

72-year-old Adam Taju and his wife, Hasina, 70, flew from Ahmedabad with their 51-year-old son-in-law, Altafhussen Patel. All three lived in London.

Fiongal and Jamie Greenallow-Mick

Fiongal and Jamie Greenoullo-Mick, a married British couple, were running a spiritual wellness center in London.

They posted on Instagram earlier on Thursday, saying they were about to get on flight from Ahmedabad Airport.

The video was seen laughing and joking with each other for their trip to India.

Ajay Kumar Ramesh was in the flight, sitting with his brother, the British surviving passenger Vishwashkumar Ramesh.

His cousin Ajay Valgie told the BBC that Vishwashkar Ramesh had called his family to say it was “good”, but he did not know his brother’s whereabouts.

Vija Rupani, a former chief minister of the state in Gujarat in India, was killed in the crash, the country’s civil aviation minister told reporters.

Rupani was the Chief Minister of the Western Indian State of 2016-21.

He was a member of the BJP ruling party.

Singon was a member of the Gondola crew aboard the Air India Flight 171, the family said.

Outside the Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, her cousin, T. Tangling Haokip, told the BBC that he was trying to get information about her, but was unsuccessful.

He added that Singon has a mother and brother who are “completely dependent on her” as she “is the only carrier” in her family. “
